New Darwin Colony Trade

During the Klingon rule there were a number of traders that visited the colonies and traded with the Klingons though the system was mainly used by them as a supply for selling elsewhere. The Daliwakans were sometimes able to meet with traders and sell gems they had smuggled out of sight of the Klingons. The Klingons were sometimes aware of this smuggling but tolerated it aslong as it was non-threatening, to keep the workforce happy.
Word has spread of the change in hands at the colony and devleopments are probably being observed from afar by a number of traders. The role New Darwin will play has yet to be decided as the dilithium mines on the moon of GSVI still lay dormant. Gems stones and mineral mining has resumed on GSII to a limited extent. If the mineral causing electrical interference can be extracted this may also be useful, science are working on it. Trade possibilites are being investigated by Thomas Garroway of the Earth Cargo Authority. More are likely to follow in his footsteps as the colony gets established and begins producing a stable export.
