| PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES | Knight is a tall, thin and physically speaking is relatively weak. He
has no real distinguishing features except he often fashions a small
beard. Since his demotion he has taken less of an interest in his
physical appearance so this sometimes extends to a thick layer of
stubble. Knight has a large region of scar tissue on his left shoulder blade from a disruptor injury. |

| PERSONAL BIOGRAPHY | Knight is a damaged man, and certainly not the man that entered
Starfleet five years ago. This isn't to say that he wasn't damaged to
start with. A number of his idiosyncrasies have now been replaced with
a new and by no means better set. Knight never really cared for rank and title and initially was even resistant to being given the position of (then) Engineering Director. Over time he has overcome his dislike for being referred to either as sir, or by his rank. His willingness, and eventual liking of positions of authority, also came with time; ultimately concluding with him receiving command of a starship. Knight was born on the 29 October 2124 in Portsmouth, England, Earth to Lieutenant Gary Knight and Jillian Knight. Gary Knight, his Farther was at the time an officer in the Royal Air Force and remained in it until Anthony was seven. He suffered an injury to his leg when there was an error with the plane he was flying. He was subsequently discharged. Anthony was Gary Knight's second child; his father had previously had another child with his former wife. When he was eight, Anthony, his farther, his mother and his uncle decided they wanted a new life and left on a transport ship from Earth to a colony called Alpha-Ceti. However, during the journey the freighter was attacked by a small group of Nausican pirates. Although they were easily dealt with they did a lot of damage and there were a lot of deaths, including Anthony's mother. This experience damaged him for many years to come and continues to plague him now. He attributes the loss of his mother to his poor success with women later in life as well as his general feeling of loneliness. Whether this is fair, or simply an excuse to forgive his own failings is another question. When he was sixteen he spent a few months in the Alpha-Ceti colony development institute. The colony was a small, un-interesting place. Barley a colony in its own right, Knight moved to Earth as soon as the opportunity arose. It was just upon arrival on Earth that Knight met and had a brief relationship with a woman called Katy Turman. They dated for about three months and then Knight never saw or heard from her until years later to learn that she had (years ago) given birth to a pair of twin, his. Knight never really knew how to deal with his sudden fatherhood so chose not to. While having limited contact with his two children he has preferred to stay out of his children's lives for the most part. Once on Earth Knight enrolled part-time in the University of Sussex (degree in Aerospace Engineering). While studying on the side, over the next seven years he also had miscellaneous civilian based engineering jobs. At the end of the sixth year (just prior to graduating) he went into military R&D, were he worked on shuttle pod systems. Within a year the chance to join Starfleet emerged, wanting a change in life he accepted. |
